Hello,
I am having an open house/art event at my home in Oak Bay on September 23rd from 5-9. I was wondering if you might know of anyone, possibly a student or two of yours, to play guitar during that time.
Regards,
Lindy
I can recommend Isaiah Brabazon, who lives near you: [email protected]
Hello Alexander,
I teach guitar at the Penticton Academy of Music.
Recently, I purchased a new guitar and now the old one needs a new home.
It is a 2008 John Park (of Summerland, B.C.) He built this one to present at the 2008 Guild of American Luthiers Convention, and it was one of the “bright stars” of the show.
The soundboard is an exceptional piece of East European spruce, with sparkling trebles, and the back and sides are East Indian rosewood. String length: 67 mm. 12th fret clearance: 4.5 mm and 4 mm. The conception is in the spirit of where Hauser took the 1920s Spanish guitar. It is very full, clear, and balanced, with a wide dynamic/timbre range, and is easy to play.
If you know of a anyone, colleague or student, needing or ready for a concert level instrument, I would appreciate your help in either referring me or passing on their names. I will be visiting my brother and his wife in Sydney over the winter holidays and can bring it to show and try out.
Thanks!
Sincerely yours,
Selwyn
